樹人之城-兒童．未來．探索之森
CITY FOR NURTURING-CHILDREN'S FUTURE MUSEUM

從植物生長中，可以看到兩個不同的模式：喬木與根莖。喬木是一種直線性、有著上下層級的架構，從根、莖、枝幹到葉，一旦系統出現，很難進行擴增；根莖類植物則是一種非線性網絡，只要觸及土壤就能長出新的植株，展現開放姓、去層次化的特質，能夠延伸擴展。本次「國家兒童未來館」計畫的理念，是希望創造出類似根莖網絡的空間，鼓勵孩子們主動探索，而非19世紀百科全書式博物館的單向知識傳播。在「樹人之城」中，孩子們能夠成為參與者，與其他年齡社群共同發現、共同創造，認識自己、認識臺灣、認識世界，並讓孩子們從小可以認知到自身擁有「改變社會、改變世界」的權利與能力。




From the growth of plants, we can see two prototypes: trees and rhizomes. Trees have a linear and hierarchical structure. Once the system is established, it is hard to expand. Rhizomatic plants represent a non-linear network; they can sprout new plants wherever they touch the ground, indicating an open, de-hierarchical system that can extend and expand. For the ‘National Children’s Future Museum’ project, we hope to create a space reminiscent of the rhizomatic network, supporting and encouraging our children to actively explore. In the ‘City of Nurturing’, children can become participants, understanding themselves, Taiwan, and the world. It makes children realize their potential to make a change.
