Entrance Visitor Service Area of Kenting Forest Recreation Area 

墾丁森林遊樂區有著台灣少見的熱珊瑚礁地形，自然資源豐富，坐落於台灣第一個國家公園，自日治時代成立熱帶研究所至今已逾80年。未來的遊客中心將重新塑造屬於在地的入口意象，透過動線重整、相關服務設施置入、納入環境森林教育，提供遊客更為深刻的旅遊經驗。

重新整理原先過大面積的硬鋪面停車場以及已被鑑定為海砂屋的閒置商店街，以兩大區塊區分商店服務區及停車場空間，商店服務區以小簇群順著坡度而上，連通的屋頂提供大面的遮蔭，在炎熱的南國提供遊客乘涼且舒適的入園路徑，水平向度的景色，對照遠方起伏的山陵，以及南灣海岸線，將建築物與自然的語彙巧妙的合而為一。


Kenting Forest Recreation Area features a rare hot coral reef terrain in Taiwan and is rich in natural resources. Located in Taiwan's first national park, it has been home to a tropical research institute since the Japanese colonial era, a history spanning over 80 years. The future visitor center will reshape the local entrance image, offering a more profound travel experience for visitors through circulation reorganization, the introduction of related service facilities, and environmental forest education. We have reorganized the originally oversized hard-paved parking lot and the idle shopping street identified as a sea sand house. The area has been divided into two large blocks, distinguishing the commercial service area and the parking space. The commercial service area is arranged in small clusters ascending along the slope, with interconnected roofs providing extensive shading. In the hot southern region, it offers visitors a cool and comfortable entrance path to the park. The horizontal views contrast with the undulating distant mountains and the South Bay coastline. The architectural and natural elements are cleverly blended into a harmonious vocabulary.
